Wow, Wow, Wow !
It's the Six-0 Hula Halau ! Aloha! Now that Six-0 the Event is history, but a precious memory that lives on, we thought we'd share the videos that were used by the Six-0 Halau to practice on their own during the 3-plus months leading up to their August 11 performance. These "raw footage" videos were taken with a small digital camera (Glenn and Wilma's) and a higher quality video camera (Teresa's). Though the videos are less than ideal quality, they did help many of the ladies, who had absolutely no hula experience, practice on their own at home. Mucho mahalos to Ainsley Halemanu for being our Kumu Hula; Nathan Iaone for lending his musical talent in assisting Ainsley with the music; Teresa Iwashita for being the coordinator for the group; and every one of our lovely and brave ladies for participating and bringing class, style and beauty to our event !!! |
